Default Personal folder not closed

cannot access my "deleted" folder---task is not responding, says task
manager!!!!!

get MSFT msg that personal folders not properly closed.

need to know how to save file to CD,
delete,
re install,
reload.

any gurus with answers?????

What good will it do backing up a corrupted pst-file? Use scanpst.exe to
check it for errors.
