Default Need registry setting or fix?

My Archive setting that I select will NOT stay selected. I
am not in a domain and have all Office 2003 pro updates
installed.

This section is found by clicking filearchive

I check the box labeled "Archive all folders according to
their AutoArchive settings" and hit "ok"

Come back immediately and it reverts to the other
setting "archive this folder and all subfolders" which I
DO NOT want.

I need the registy setting or other fix if
possible...thanks!

That is NOT a setting. The global setting is under Tools - Options -
Other - AutoArchive. Then you need to *enable* which folders will use
the global settings (or use their own local settings) by right-clicking
on a folder and changing its properties regarding the auto-archive
function. The File menu selection is a tool that you RUN manually, and
is NOT what the auto-archive function will use. There is no way to
alter the hardcoded defaults within the menues.
