Default Installing Office 2007 over Office XP

Trying to get back to Gordon, I could not get a reply button for your
previous note.

I have tried Custom and Typical both before I went in exasperation to Office
XP. Then, with Office XP installed, I went to Upgrade.

The problem files to which I referred earlier are
Proofing.enus\Proof.es\Proof.cab.,
and, Proofing.en-us\Proof.msi .

On the install, one can not get the installer to drill into the Proofing
folder.

This issue goes as far back as March 2008 in this forum, and I found in
forums on the web, that some people had actually goje out and bought Office
2007 in the box and then been unable tio install it.

Any help will be appreciated.

RSM
