Default adding music source to powerpoint presentation

Please help:
I am helping a teacher create a powerpoint presentation which is finished
and stored on her harddrive. She would like to add music to the background.
The music is of the kids singing and currently the music is stored on a CD.
How do we put the add the music right to the powerpoint presentation to make
it one show?

Also, once that is done, can we backup the entire presentation (with the
music entact) onto another CD-Rom?

She is using a DELL computer (bought brand new in 2004) with Microsoft
Powerpoint.

Thank you!!!!!!
