Default How to link a contact to an appointment or task as in OL2003?

In Outlook 2003 I could create an Appointment, Meeting or Task and append a
link to the Contact record of the person or persons the event was with or
about. Double clicking on the Contact name would then bring up the Contact
record and information could then be entered in that record.

Can this be done in Outlook WOTHOUT BCM?

Are you asking about Outlook 2007? In Outlook 2007, the Contacts box for linking items to contacts does not appear by default. You will need to turn it on -- Tools | Options | Contact Options | Show Contact Linking on All Forms.
