Unable to use emdash option
I have followed the instructions and gone to the "auto format as you type"
window, and checked the change hyphen to emdash box, but I can still only type hyphens |

If you type a word, then two hyphens, and then another word followed by a space or punctuation, the two hyphens are replaced by an em dash only at the very end of that sequence. If you put a space before the two hyphens, the result is an en dash (but again, not until the character after the next word).
