Default New contacts don't show

I have a few users with this issue. The problem is when
they add a new contact to there contacts in outlook 2000
(server is exchange 2003) they save and close but the new
contact doesn't show up when they click the To: button. If
they go into the contacts folder its there but not when
they go to select it in a new email.

Keep in mind that the users only have one contacts folder
and all the contacts that are in it work except for the
ones they just added.

Are you certain these new Contacts have valid, resolved electronic
addresses?

I'm having the same problem. The contacts are listed in
the main contact category page, but when the person tries
to send an email it doesn't automatically insert the email
address into the recipient field. Then when you try to add
it again, it says that its already in there. My boss is
just about had it with this problem and he's loosing
patience (and i'm tired of getting yelled at).

Perhaps you would like to answer my question as well. You've provided no
information that would permit anyone to help you. You need to be a bit more
explicit than "when a person tries to send an email." There are about 10
ways to do that. To which are you referring?

Sorry I've been working on other issues. Yes they are
vaild email addresses. I've put them in myself. I add the
contact in contacts, first and last name, email address,
etc. then I go into my inbox and click new. Click to: and
the name I just put in there doesn't show up. I can see
all the other ones no problem. Just no new ones. Its very
strange. I don't believe its a network problem
(permissions) because my other users are fine. Only one
other person is having the problem.

Thanks,
Jamie

(I was asking the second poster to answer my question--not you--I knew you
hadn't returned yet)
But are these addresses resolved?
I assume the information store is an Exchange mailbox?

I'm not sure I uderstand what you mean? The addresses are
vaild and they are underlined if thats what you mean.

Yes, the information store is on the Exchange 2003 server.
Which is working great I might add.

It's the strangest thing.

Yes. Underlined means they are resolved.
What happens if you restart the Outlook Address Book Service?
