find old ms-word versions anymore. Any hint ?

Most of the old converters are linked from the downloads page of my web
site. They have been removed from Word for security considerations, but will
still work (at your own risk).

Many thanks Graham, too bad MS didn't put a link to your site ! ;-)

There are links from Microsoft's (huge) web site to mine, however this is a
security issue and Microsoft would not want to encourage the use of
something for which they receive constant criticism. If they wanted you to
use the old filters they would have made them available for you. They are
also available on the original Word installation discs, but you would have
to add the registry entries manually.

Thanks, I tried them.

Always the same results. The pictures are place holders, there is only an
empty space where the pictueres should be.

No matter how I do it. The pics always get lost.

I even made a new small file with word 5 or word 6 (I installed it on my
computer) and the same result.

In word for dos, pics get inserted with a small dotted command, they are not
in-line but linked to.

I take it that tools options view picture placeholders is unchecked?
If so, I have a couple of other tools that *may* work. Can you send me a
sample document? Use the link on the home page of my web site.
