Default Double-swords - conflicting edits

Hi -

Does anyone know why all of a sudden certain recurring
meetings on a manager's calendar are showing up with
these double-swords saying that there is a conflict and
you must choose which one to accept. They are both the
same choice and no one has touched the meetings! His
admin does manage his calendar for him, but she says that
he didn't touch the meetings.

Thanks,
Leslie

You are having a CACHE problem. The manager is
working in a CACHE calendar (on his hard drive). If
his calendar is not set to synchronize at specific intervals
then it will only sync up to the server when he Logs out.

If the Admin makes a change to his calendar during the
day then a conflict will occur when he finally sync's up
with the server.

I would check both the Admin and Manager's configurations
for this caching problem.

Tools | Options | Preferences tab
Click the CALENDAR OPTIONS... button
Turn off the check mark next to
ALWAYS USE LOCAL CALENDAR

When this is turned on the client does not send the information back
to the Exchange Server until a "synchronization" happens. A sync
doesn't usually happen until the client logs out of Outlook or logs in or
if their program is configured to synchronize at particular times.
