Default How do I contact MS for Pub 2003 help if it was pre-installed

Hi Box ),
in the newsgroups
you posted:

|| With all due respect, that is stupid. They don't know the product,
|| they're not the original 'manufacturer',

They are the original manufacturer of the computer. They bought Publisher at
a substantially reduced priced from Microsoft, and HP agreed to support the
product since they are receiving the product at such price. And you agreed
to this when accepting the EULA for the product.

||and you guys are stupid to
|| let someone with no vested interest in your product provide support
|| for it.

What guys? There are no Microsoft employees in this peer to peer newsgroup.
These are all volunteers.

|| That's a great way to foster dissatisfaction, oops too
|| late. Talk about passing the buck.

Did you need any help with anything?

Actually, I am not wrong. I have been doing this for years. HP is indeed in
charge of supporting your OEM product and answering your questions. If you
cannot get an answer from them, you need to pay $35 support fee direct to
Microsoft if you want their assistance.

You can call or email. But you will need to pay for the support.

How was it obvious that is was an example. Do a search of this newsgroup to

2002/2003 because they changed the menu options from Publisher 2000. How
about you get off your high horse?

I should have added that it might be worth a call to see if you can get free
support, but you will for sure need your product ID. There have been
occasions where MS has skipped the fees.
