excel lost
Excel is not listed in the programs at the START button
nor is it available as an icon on the desktop. I have to go thru Control Panel to access EXCEL. How do I restore it to the START and/or the desktop so it is more accessible? |

One way to get it on your desktop:
Windows Start button|Find search for excel.exe Once it finds it, right click and choose "Send to", the Desktop (create shortcut) With some versions of windows, you can just drag that shortcut over the start button and you'll have it there. Now, what the heck do you use to start excel in the Control Panel? === And I bet you could have just re-installed to get all the default shortcuts. wrote: Excel is not listed in the programs at the START button nor is it available as an icon on the desktop. Dave; Thanks for the advice. It worked.
I went thru Add/Remove programs in the Control Panel to get to Microsoft Office and then to excel. -----Original Message----- One way to get it on your desktop: Windows Start button|Find search for excel.exe Once it finds it, right click and choose "Send to", the Desktop (create shortcut) With some versions of windows, you can just drag that shortcut over the start button and you'll have it there.
