not able to send emails or photo's
When I am on yahoo I can send an email with no problem. When I try to send
photo's they will not send and they go to the window's email site. I can not send from here either. I am not very sharp on this as you can see. I used outlook at work and was able to send emails and attachements with no problem. I have gone on line with HP chat and they could not seem to help me after 2 hours and of course we got disconnected. I just found this location when I was trying to see if I can figure this out. I have only had this lap top since June and no one seems to be able to help me. To clarify when I try to send the photo's in my picture file the steps seem simple enough but they will not send. I have made them smaller, I have tried only sending one and tried to send 5. No luck. Now I have tried to send a application on line for a job with an attachement and it will not go. The same thing comes up: The host ' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Subject 'bill received', Account: ', Server: ', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11003, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D Can anyone help me and tell me what I need to do and what I am doing wrong??? Am I just not understanding the difference between sending from yahoo and using windodws email? Please somebody can you explain. |

The Microsoft webpage can be confusing and may have misled you. -- John W. Vinson [MVP] |

However, it's worth pointing out that " isn't a host/server, it's an email address (server names don't have @ signs). You need to configure your email program to send outgoing messages to your Service Provider's outgoing mail server, so you'll need advice both from your Service Provider and from someone who knows your email program (Windows Mail). Your Service Provider may be able to help. However, most free email services don't allow you to use a program like Windows Mail, though, so try accessing your email from the website. Access is fun too... Phil, London |
