Default Why can I get sound but no video on inserted movie in powerpoint?

I am trying to insert a 2-minute video into a power oint presentation and
have it play automatically. The sound plays from the video plays, but no
picture. The video plays on WIndows Media Player. If I insert the video
using action buttons or insert the windows media player and play it through
that, it plays fine, but then it will not play automatically, only on a click.

Any suggestions?

Hi

Sounds like the file path is too long. Try this:
1. Create a folder on your C drive (e.g. C:\mypres)
2. Move presentation & video file to this folder
3. Re-insert movie into powerpoint file

Does that fix it?

I have prepared a presentation using an embedded video; the file is saved on my network drive. The picture and sound are fine on my monitor but only a black screen shows up when using the projector? Any ideas?

Thanks!
Elizabeth
