Outlook 2002

Ryan,

I am new to AOL and can't get Outlook 2002 to access my AOL e-mail. AOL does have instructions on their AOL.help site for configuring Outlook to access AOL (article id #217454), but I can't get it to work. Any suggestions?

Where is the mail collection failing Jeff? Do you get any error messages?

I'm getting 2 errors:

!Folder: Inbox check for new mail. 'Reporter error (0x800CCC0E). 'Could not fetch new headers in the folder inbox for account AOL. Error: Unable to connect to the server.'

!'Checking for new mail in subscribed folders on AOL.' Reported error (0x800CCC0E). 'Could not fetch new headers in the folder (null) for account AOL. Error: unable to connect to the server.'

How are you connecting to the Internet? Are you using the AOL Dialer or broadband? If you are using dial-up, see if trying to collect yourmail while you are connected with the AOL software works.

I'm using AOL dial-up. I stay connected via AOL while using Outlook and get those same errors.
