Default Error with table backgrounds

I have a word document which has clear backgrounds.

But for some reason when i re-open the document some of the tables seems to
have a black background.

I have reset all the tables and set to default for all docs which use the
normal.dot.

So not sure why this is happening.

These documents are in rtf format not sure if that matters.

Hi Graham,

Have you actually created backgrounds in some way? Or are you just saying that
the page behind some tables is suddenly appearing black instead of white? (Or
have you changed your Windows display options so that pages appear some other
color?)

Have you tried starting Windows in Safe Mode, just to be sure it's not your
graphics card driver having a hard time?

Hi Cindy,

No i dont think so for some reason the table property for shading has a
black fill on it, even when i change it and reopen the document it resets
itself.

Even after making the correct style default in the normal template.

Its seems just to be a problem in a few of my rtf files. So i change the
format to just word and it seems fine to me now !

Thanks for showing interest @@ :-) @@

Appreciated
Graham
