Default mp3 file

I have a problem i can't understand. I have a lot of mp3 files i use in my
presentation. All the mp3 files are ok, so i can hear them in WinAmp or
Windows Mediaplayer.. but i can divide the files in two gropus: for the first
group no problem: i can use them ( for these files everything's ok in ppt
presentation); for the second grouo, even i do the same, they don't work.
They are in the same directory... the ppt files can locate them .. but no
sound at all.

I proved to find the difference between two mp3 files ( the first works..
the second doesn't) .but i didn't succeed ... any idea?

A number of reasons this may be happening.

First, what is the source of the mp3 files that don't play? They may
contain DRM (digital rights management) and can NOT be used in PowerPoint.)

Second, not all mp3's are created equal. There are a number of different
codecs available to compress the mp3 and you may not have the right one
installed (or is incompatible) with the MCI player.

As a possible solution, give PFCMedia a try. (Free fully functioning
download from www.pfcmedia.com) If at all possible it will convert the
files into a PowerPoint compatible format.
