Critical Update Problem
I've waited all day for someone else to mention this
problem but haven't seen it yet. When I went online this morning, I got a Critical Update notice. It was for the Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1. I DL'd it w/o a problem. But it couldn't install properly. B/c of my current settings, it encountered an "exception" that prevented it from happening. ProcessID=0fx6e9fa5d (-152438179) ThreadID= 0xf6e841b9 (-152550983) It tells me I can press OK to abort the installation, or Cancel to attempt a manual installation. I tried to do it twice, but being so slow, I still didn't know how long to wait, even when it reached the end of the "line" and appeared to be finished. Any ideas what I need to change for it to install properly? Thanks! |

But this is the only Microsoft public news group I read daily, and since I don't know the cause (likely my Explorer settings?), I don't the right NG to post it. But I figure I at least recognize the names of the "volunteers" right away & can find the right one... |

You're posting to Outlook Express. You should post to the OS NG that
you are using. Let me know and I'll send you in the right direction. -- Bruce Hagen ~IB-CA~ "Paul Dalrymple" wrote in message news:s%5_c.286080$eM2.192771@attbi_s51...
