moving Outlook 2003 to new laptop
I have a new laptop (Windows 7) and am trying to move my Outlook 2003 over to
it. It won't accept the password I put in, no matter what I try. Yet my old laptop will still accept the login. I've tried (on the old computer) to reset my password but the "new" one I change to still won't be recognized on the new laptop. Do I need to cancel Outlook 2003 login off the old laptop first? Thanks. Kristine |

Are you asking about your login to the computer? Or is your PST file
prompting you for a password? Or is this in your account set up, are you being prompted for a password when you send/receive email? "Ketcham Consulting" Ketcham wrote in message ... moving Outlook 2003 to new laptop
I am talking about when I am trying to activate my outlook on my new laptop.
I go into control panelmailemail accountsadd a new email account. I copied the information from my old laptop account for user name, incoming/outgoing mail server, etc, but when I then put in the password that I think it should be (and I tried the only ones it could be), it gives me an error message "unable to send test message, Check email address." I know that address is correct as I've been using it for years. "Orland, Kathleen" wrote: Are you asking about your login to the computer? Or is your PST file prompting you for a password? Make sure you don't have an extra . in the email address anywhere where you
typed it in. If there is a password issue, you'll have to contact your ISP and perhaps change it. "Ketcham Consulting" wrote in message ...
