"[SPAM]" in the subject line
I am getting (and I suspect sending) many messages with the label "[SPAM]" appended in the beginning of the the subject line. Anybody know where this is getting attached and how to stop it?

Either by your anti-spam tool or at your ISP level

Jonathan,
Do you have Norton on your server? If so, it is probably coming from Norton. I had the same problem and had the administrator go into the Symnatec Mail Security program. There in the Spam prevention settings is a list of Match words the system looks for. YOu can look in the match list for the subject line, body text, etc. Words like 'unsubscribe' and 'if you have received this email' are items that can be contained in a lot of emails. Hope this helps. "Jonathan J. Moore" wrote: I am getting (and I suspect sending) many messages with the label "[SPAM]" appended in the beginning of the the subject line. Brian, Do you have Norton on your server? Go check your attributions. I didn't ask the question and don't have the problem. -- Brian Tillman |
