multilayered lookups
Hi all--
I am NEW to databases and trying to teach myself Access 2007 (in my spare time-- whatever that is. Anyways I work for a creamery (go Westby) and need to make a database for our products. Here is what I would like to do. Have a pull down that has different categories ie sour cream, cream cheese, hard cheese, etc. After selecting one of those categories I would like to have another lookup come up that is specific to the first choice. For example if I click on "hard cheese" I get an automatic lookup that lists cheddar, parm, mont. jack, pepper jack, etc. How is the best way of doing this? Please email me the results as I am not sure how to find this site again. (Let me know how to find this newsgroup also if it is not to much of a pain.) Have a great day and thank you in advance. Go to www.fontstuff.com or www.allenbrowne.com and look up "cascading combo
boxes." That is exactly what you need. -- Milton Purdy ACCESS State of Arkansas "Lab Manager" wrote: Hi all-- I am NEW to databases and trying to teach myself Access 2007 (in my spare time-- whatever that is.
