Import "just" Address Book\Contacts

By george, I think I got it! I have 2 data Files in my Desktop
Outlook....because my current Default Data File was transfered, in its
entirity, from an older Desktop to this new Desktop. When I open Outlook and
click on the CONTACTS TAB I have CONTACTS and CONTACTS in PERSONAL FOLDERS.
My active contacts are in CONTACTS...there is nothing in CONTACTS IN PERSONAL
FOLDER. Clicking on CONTACTS...then EDIT\SELECT ALL\EDIT\COPY copies all the
contacts. Then I Clicked on CONTACTS PERSONAL FOLDERS....EDIT\PASTE...the
Contacts are now also in this Data Set.

So to move the Contacts from the Desktop to the Laptop, its the same
procedure, the only difference is, I will be copying\Pasting the New Data
File from the desktop to the Laptop.....and OPENING the New Dta File in
Outlook. Once that is done...I will see under the Contacts Tab CONTACTS and
CONTACTS in TRANSFER FOLDER (I gace the New data File the name
TRANSFER)...from there its a copy\paste between the Contacts in the Transfer
Data File to the Contacts in the Laptop's.

Actually I have learned several new things. I never realized there was a
separte CONTACTS folder in my PC separate from the Outlook address Book.
When I opened the CONTACTS FOLDER...I saw a lot of Contacts I had deleted
from the Address Book....and did some 'House Cleaning.

medium or connection you use). Copying data from one file to another is

I went to the folder where the Data file I created, TRANSFER"
was
loacated
C:\Usrers\XXXX\AppaData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Tr ansfer

I then copied my Contact Folder off the Desktop PC, I went to
open
the
Data
file I created "Transfer" to paste the Contact Folder in. I
got
the
warning
message.

instructions
to Backup\Transfer the .pst file....I only want to
Transfer

Actually Contacts are not separate from the address book. They are the same.
Address Book is just a view of your Contacts.
It is best if you use Folder List view to examine your Folders and transfer
data between them. That's the only view that shows all of your folders and
their hierarchy.

I went to the folder where the Data file I created,
