Default Continual Columns

Is there a way in Word to have columns continue onto successive pages? This
would enable, for example, two versions of something to be printed side by
side to see differences. The text from column one would continue onto column
one on following pages. The text from column two would continue onto coulun
two on following pages. Is this possible? Thanks.

Use tables. Create a new row for every paragraph. See:
