PowerPoint

Having trouble opening PowerPoint files, as of a few days ago.
Prior to that time PowerPoint viewer worked fine, have even downloaded
PowerPoint 7. when I put power point in a special folder PowerPoint does not
recognize them. Those that have been in that folder before I started hving
the problem open, but not the newer ones. What could be causing the problem.
