File size and reports
I have an MS Access 2007 database. The data tables (about 5 tables) are only
about 4MGs, but when you add the reports (about 10 reports) the file size jumps to almost 400MGs!!!, even after a compact and repair. There are a couple of Memo fields in one of the tables. But goodness, is there anything I can do about that? Why does it jump so dramatically with reports? Thanks in advance! Marty |

File size and reports
Hi Allen,
I posted this last night before bed, and woke up with the thought, AHHH... I bet that graphic in the reports is huge. (This was created by someone else). Sure enough, when I checked this morning, after reducing the size of the logo image, and reinserting it, we went from 433MGs to 5MGs!!! Whew... the database is a very happy camper now! But thanks for your response. At least this will be posted for others to see. Marty "Allen Browne" wrote: Any graphics in these reports? Background pictures? Logos? -- Allen Browne - Microsoft MVP.
