Default Tracking database changes

I want to update and publish a database model, and list the changes since the previous update. Is there a way to automate this task with VISIO. I could export the VISIO data and compare with another MS app or something. I just want to make this job fast and easy. If it's too cumbersome, I can maintain the model, but the team will have to figure out the changes by themselves.

Not elegant but--create a DB report from the first version, save it as .doc,
do the same for the modified version and then use Word to do a file compare.

I have VISIO 2003. According to another post, it's not possible to generate a
database report with this version. So.... it has great database reporting
functions, but no way to output a report. Does that seem strange to you?

I have tried to output the database info, but couldn't find any way to do
it. Thus, saving it as a Word file is not an option.

Thanks,

Charles Arnold

Pretty strange to me. I'm using Vision for Enterprise Architects plus have a
..NET environment, so maybe that's why I can do it.

That's what the other post mentioned. This function was in earlier versions
of VISIO, but is missing in 2003, unless you have the EA version. This is
just another reason we hate Microsoft. And don't even get me started on Word
2003!! A giant leap backwards.

Well... our DBA wrote a script to generate the reports we need from the
database. So.. take that, Mr. Gates.
