I work with a a/s 400 system PMI (www.sita.aero). We do
not have an inhouse IT dept. Im looking to extract
information into excel, I have been told that "all" I
need is to create an ODBC with the correct headers i
want?? what does all this mean?

If you have an AS400 you will undoubtedly have Client Access. If this is
loaded you will be able to go into Excel. DataImport external data...New
database Query. In the list (of ODBC drivers), you should see Client
Access. Select this, enter the name of the system and it will show you the
libraries and files on the AS400. Build your query and import.

If the driver is not in the list you will need to download and install it
from the IBM site.
