Two sets of footers

Using Word 03, Win XP: I'm trying to put an Appendix with
it's own TOC so I need to change the page #'s to "A-1, A-
2" etc but when I try to insert just A it appears "A-A"
I do have a Section Break inserted but just can't get the
numbering to work.
