How can I receive information by email and update my database wit.
I am very ignorant about Access (or any other database). I want a wide
geographical spread of colleagues to register students and then send the enrolment form to me electronically, as most of them are less familiar with ICT than I am I would prefer this to be done by email in a way in which we can either copy and paste into the database or simply add the record as a file. It seems the sort of thing that should be simple but is proving very difficult. Ben Seex |

Ben,
I have done this numerous times using Excel. The remotes have a standard foem in Excel which is completed and then the Excel file is sent to a central point to be processed. The only thing you have to do manually at the central location is save all the incoming Excel files to the same folder. Access can be programmed to go to that folder, open the Excel file, extract the info into the database and close the Excel file all automatically! I am in business to provide customers with a resource for help with Microsoft Access, Excel and Word applications. You can view my website at www.pcdatasheet.com. If you would like me to build something like this for you, contact me at my email address below. -- PC Datasheet Your Resource For Help With Access, Excel And Word Applications www.pcdatasheet.com "Ben Seex" Ben wrote in message ...
