Default Can I reverse a column ?

Is there a way to reverse all the plus in a column into negative and the
negative into plus?

I mean a fast way, not manually all and every entry by hand.

In an empty cell, enter the number -1. EditCopy. Select your numbers.
EditPaste Special, check Multiply. OK.

One way:

Enter -1 into a blank cell. Copy the cell. Select your column.
Choose Paste Special, selecting the Value and Multiplication radio
buttons. Click OK. Clear the cell with -1.

Fast enough?

Thanks for the reply.

I use Excel 97 and I do not see Paste Special. I see Paste, but not special.

Is 97 that different from 200 or 2002 ? Or I am to blame, I must say, I am
very much a newbie as far as Excel goes. So additional help is very much
appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I did find Paste Special but it has a Radio button for Paste and then to the
left Unicode Text.

Is that what I should click on?

Try copying your cell again. Sounds like you copied from some other
text source.
