Default Protect Document Task Pane won't let me select restrictions

When trying to protect a form from revision I select "Protect Document" from
the Tools menu but both the selections for 1. Formatting restrictions
and2.Editing restrictions are grayed out and won't let me select any of the
restrictions.

Hi Charlie,

You must be talking about a Word userform or perhaps something in Excel. In
Access, individual forms cannot be protected without securing the entire
database. Perhaps you'd like to ask this in a Word newsgroup. Your question
will be better answered in a newsgroup appropriate to your problem. This
newsgroup is dedicated to the Microsoft Access database product. The
Microsoft website is not all that clear and may have misdirected you.
