Default Outlook Contacts File

I have Outlook 2000 and will soon have my PC cleaned up, and perhaps redone
from scratch. I don't want to lose all the contacts I've set up, or all the
email messages I have. I'd like to copy whatever file(s) they're in to a cd
in case there's a problem. Can you tell me what file(s) I need to copy?
Thanks!

Hi Mary,

have a look on this site:

"Ways to back up Outlook data" (Applies to Outlook 2000)
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ou...CH011543381033

Maybe it helps.

Thanks a lot! Does this also apply to Outlook Express? If not, how do I
backup my Outlook Express addresses and emails?

No, it doesn't. For that, see http://www.insideoutlookexpress.com/backup/
