Hi, Finn. Those "crop marks" are caused by support for Asian languages.
Disable this through Start | Programs | Microsoft Office Tools | Microsoft Office version Language Settings. My daughter lives in Oslo, BTW. -- Suzanne S. Dear Suzanne S. Barnhill,
Thank you very much for your kind answer! I did as you said; and deleted the Chinese script in Office, version, Language Setting. Still, the annoying angles are still there in each corner. They popped up four days ago. I use Word 2002, and I write my books on, translatet from Norwegian: "how it looks like when you print it out"; the screen in Words that shows the page as it will be on paper when you print it out, with grey outlines of the page shown on the screen. I prefer that screen in office, I see what comes on the page. Still, after having deletet the Chinese script, those for thin angles in each corner of the page showing the of top, buttom, left and right margin, are still ther on the screen, pointing outwards towards the edge of the page, and unfortunately I experience them very disturbing. Have I done something wrong when I deleted the Chinese script? Or do you thinkthat we talk about different kinds of problems? I would be very happy for an answer and to be adviced. I have not personally experienced this problem, but it is my understanding
if you have disabled support for *all* Asian languages, this should have taken care of it. Perhaps I did not explain clearly enough what to do. You might want to see the Microsoft Knowledge Base article "Margin marks or crop marks appear on each corner of the page when you open a document in Word 2002 or in Word 2003" at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=839371. -- Suzanne S. Dear Suzanne S. Barnhill,
What a relief! Now, when I have deleted absolutely all the asien languages in Office, Language Setting, the four thin annoying angles on my screen is gone. Thank you very very much for your kind help. Best regards from Finn, Oslo, Norway Suzanne S.
