why are my contacts being saved as pushpin format
Some of my contacts end up as a pushpin format rather than a vcard format.
How do i make sure they are entered and saved as a vcard format? |

why are my contacts being saved as pushpin format
I don't know what a pushpin format is but what i'm seeing is that when i
export contacts to excel spreadsheet for a mailing some of the contacts do not appear on the spreadsheet. I then go back into contacts and sort by category and on the column to the far left there are icons and most show the address card format (which i may erroneously be calling vcard) but some show what looks like a note with pushpins at top of the note and these are the contacts that do not appear on excel spreadsheet. I'm looking to find out why these contacts appear in that format and how i can avoid this from happening. "Russ Valentine" wrote: What is pushpin format? What is vCard format? The pushpin icon suggests that these items were created using a custom form.
That's going to affect how (or rather whether) they can be exported to Excel. You can check the Properties dialog of the folder to see if it's set up to use a custom form. To find out the name of the custom form, add the Message Class field to the current view and examine those items. You may need to consult http://www.outlookcode.com/article.aspx?ID=39 for scripts and tools to change the message class or http://www.slipstick.com for tools to export custom form data. -- Sue Mosher, Outlook MVP Author of Microsoft Outlook 2007 Programming: Jumpstart for Power Users and Administrators http://www.outlookcode.com/article.aspx?id=54 "elaine" wrote: I don't know what a pushpin format is but what i'm seeing is that when i export contacts to excel spreadsheet for a mailing some of the contacts do not appear on the spreadsheet.
