Subdata Sheets
Access 2002 - I have a database with five tables all linked by one ID
number. The main table is personal details and the others are qualifications, medical history, placements, etc and a person may have more than 1 history record. I want to display all the information in a form to make it easy to input but I heard you can only have 1 subdatasheet on each level but my tables only link to the main table and not each other so I cannot arrange the form with the main details and 4 subdata sheets. Any ideas? Please help! |

Any ideas? Please help! You don't need ANY subdatasheets. In fact, you don't need any datasheets at all - they are of VERY limited utility! I'd suggest using a single Form based on the personal Details table, with four continuous *subforms* (not subdatasheets) all on the main form (not on each other). These can be on the same screen if there's room, or you can put a Tab Control on the form and put a different Subform control on each page. Use the tools Access provides. If you're limiting yourself to table view - you're not taking advantage of the program's power. John W. Vinson[MVP] |
