Archived faxes..where are they?
Hi, could someone tell me where "sent faxes" are stored? I'm having a
problem with the fax service so I uninstalled it through add windows components and then reinstalled it. I'm assuming that the old sent and received faxes were stored in a default folder in C:/documents and settings...etc...etc and that they can be retrieved. Hope I was right. Thanks Catt |

Perhaps you could start by mentioning the fax program you are using. It
helps to narrow down the possible answers to your question. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Catt" wrote in message news Hi, could someone tell me where "sent faxes" are stored? Sorry, I assumed it was Outlook Fax but..perhaps not. I have Windows XP and
SP2. The fax program I use is installed from "installed Windows components" area of the add/remove programs section. It's there with "accesories and Utilities", "indexing service", Internet Explorer..etc. Thanks Catt "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: Perhaps you could start by mentioning the fax program you are using. Outlook has no fax program.
Faxes you have received are automatically archived in the Fax Console's Inbox and faxes you have sent are archived in the Fax Console's Sent Items Folder. You can easily access and save these folders from Windows Explorer. The default location of these folders is: drive:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows NT\MSFax\ -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Catt" wrote in message ... Outlook provides no fax program. It can integrate with many.
Accordingly, we could have to idea to which of those you were referring. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Catt" wrote in message ... Uh oh...I have another problem. I went to application dataall userswindows
but there is no Windows NT folder. All there is is "Windows" and there is nothing in it but "themes" probably stored for Front Page. Any ideas? Am I done for? Archived faxes..where are they?
Addendum...I'm all set. I did a search in Windows Explorer entitled Windows
NT and it came up with two folders one of which had "sent faxes" in it and I could view them all in Windows Explorer with Windows Picture and fax viewer which opened up automatically. So thanks for the direction I would have been pulling my (thinning) hair out trying to find old faxes. Catt "Catt" wrote: Uh oh...I have another problem.
