Table of Contents Page Numbering Reverts to Zeros When Emailing

Hello,
I have a document with a table of contents (based on automatic paragraph
numbering). When I email the document, the recipient tells me that the table
of contents shows all references to page 1. I tried emailing it to myself
and could not re-create the problem.

Any suggestions?

I think this might result (but haven't confirmed) by the viewer being in
Reading Layout View. They can go to Tools--Options, General tab and UNCHECK
"Allow opening in reading..." and this MAY take care of the problem, but I'm
not sure.
