OE 6 toolbar disappeared

A group I belong to uses Plaxo and asked me to install it. I did and hated it
so I uninstalled it. The Plaxo toolbar replaced the OE toolbar, one of the
reasons I didn't like it. The OE toolbar is still MIA even after reinstalling
the IE 6.0 Service Pack 1 from the MS download site. The "toolbar" button
from the VIEW dropdown does nothing. OE still works but it's really awkward
without the toolbar.
