Default Print to Preprinted Form

Any suggestions about how I can print report fields onto the appropriate
places on pre-printed forms?

For example, could I apply a celluloid grid to the preprinted form to
determine the coordinates at which I want to print the fields? Is there an
easier way?

P.S. I bought Omnipage 5 and hate it.

Thanks

It's a tedious process.

You could scan a sample document to create an image that you use as a background
picture in your report. This will allow you to go back and forth from preview
to design view instead of having to actually print a record while you are
getting your controls into the proper positions.

The scan won't be perfect, but it should make getting the controls close to
where they belong a lot faster.

Once that step looks good you remove the picture and try printing onto some
actual pre-printed stock and I'm afraid from there on it's a trial and error
process.
