Print exactly in place on a certificate
I have to print some names on ready-made certificates for our
university. Is there a utility/add-on that would allow me to get right on the line (or 1 or 2 mm above the line?) I do have Office 2003 but wondered if there was a recommended app to use or is easy to do in Office 2k3? If I scanned the certificate, is there any way to make a "tracing" of it appear in my document as a "background" and from there use the document as a template so I can choose where the text box goes? Thanks |

Print exactly in place on a certificate
Dear ©®,
You can insert the image of the certificate in the header. If you select it, the Picture-toolbar appears. You can modify the colors of the picture in the document with the 2nd to the 6th buttons. From there on you can place a table in the main document that allows you to align the text box. My experience is that aligning with preprinted documents is a tricky job, that consists of repeatingly printing, checking (measuring), and adjusting... and what is right for printer 1, does not work for printer 2. I strongly advise my customers (I've been building Word templates for over 10 years now) not to us preprinted paper. Success, Cooz -- PS: If this is a satisfying answer to your question and you're logged in via the Microsoft site, please click Yes to "Did this post answer the question?". Thanks. Print exactly in place on a certificate
You could scan it and place it full size as a background image (properties
layout behind text) or simply measure and use paragraph formatting to place the text where you want it. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org ©® wrote: I have to print some names on ready-made certificates for our university.
