Default visio 2003 is greedy for memory

I find that Visio 2003 is really slow after a couple of operations.
Let me explain, I am building a database diagram (object relational)
and each time I am adding a new entity, moving down or up a database
property or adding a new property it is getting slower and slower.

The memory usage in the task manager is increasing more and more, each
time I am doing a new operation in my shape. The only way to fixed
that for now is to save my file and reopen the program. It seems that
moving a property up and down in the database properties windows is
high is memory consumption.
I have a Celeron 1.70 Ghz and 512 MO.

I do not have Visual Studio or an old version of Microsoft Visio
installed on my system. I have the most recent MDAC installed on my
computer. I have already re-registered Visio with the command visio
and I have been running the program in Safe mode but it did not any
difference.
The new service pack has not fixed that high memory consumption.

Here a little overview of what is going when I am working with Visio.
The memory usage goes from 32 000k to 47 000k, just after 20 minutes
of work. The operations that I am doing are : creating entities,
moving the entities around, adding new columns in one entity,
modifying columns name in one entity.
The memory dumping does not seems to work. My models contains 30
entites.

Does someone knows a way to fixed that or should I wait for a new SP.

Thanks

VISIO NEEDS ALOT OF MEMORY AS WELL AS PROCESSOR SPEED.

A GIG OF MEM AND PROCESSORS WITH 2MGHZ ARE THE WAY TO GO.
