Default How do I send a distribution list by email?

Question for 2007. I was able to send the DL, but when it was receieved and
they tried viewing the contents of the members an error message appeared
saying "Could not find contact. it may have been deleted or moved form its
original location. Would you like to reove it from the list?"

I select No, double click on the contact and I get the properties of the
email properties. I would like the receipent to see all the info pertaining
to that contact.

Any ideas?

The online help suggests going to insert/item. My drop down under insert has
no item option.

How did you create the DL? In what information store did it reside?
How did you send it?

You need to understand DL's. They contain names and electronic addresses.
Period. Nothing more. They do not contain other Contact data. If they remain
in the original information store, they contain a very fragile link to the
Contact Records from which they were created. Since you broke that link, you
get the error and the behavior you see.

This procedure is not working for me either.
I have tried to send a DL, via email, in both Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007.
No matter how I create the message, the person receiving does not receive
the DL. They only receive my message as an attachment with no DL attached.
My server is a POP3 as well as the server of the recipient.
I have tried sending the DL by:
-Opening a new message (rich txt is the editor)
-Clicking Insert/Item
-Navigating to my Contacts
-Selecting my DL
-On the right hand side the radio button is checked to send as attachment
-I click OK
The recipient receives my message, however they only see an envelope
attached. When they open the envelope all they see is my signature, not the
DL.
There is NO paperclip next to the picture of the envelope.
They also have Outlook 2003 and their server is POP3 (not exchange). I have
also tried sending them an individual contact with the same result.
If they drag the message to their Contacts only MY info will appear!

Odd. That procedure has worked for everyone else I know so far. Obviously,
it only works when the recipients are using a similar version of Outlook.
Outlook DL's have no meaning to other email clients.

The DL is in my Contacts in Outlook 2003. I created it by clicking on the
down arrow next to New/Distribution List. I selected the names from my
contact list. I have also tried the same thing by Adding the names and
typing their email addresses, and both times both people tell me all they
can
see is my contact info.

When I click Insert Item I see my mailbox, double click on Contacts and
select the distribution list that I want to send to my colleague.

I don't know their email clients, but I will find out.

Thanks.

Still need the other information I asked for: location of this DL and how
it
was created.
Also need to know recipient email client.
When you use Insert Item, what do you see next

Have you ensured neither sender or recipient uses email scanning?
The method only works reliably with Exchange Server. Outlook was not really
designed for Internet Mail protocols so its proprietary formats often do not
survive transport through them.
