I had to retore my Outlook 2003 pst files from a backup copy on a separate
drive. I now have 2 folders both called Contacts. The one it saves received
e-mail addresses to is not the one it uses to look up an address when I write
a new mail - though I can get to it. How can I get back to one common
Contacts folder?

How did you "restore" your PST file? You did so incorrectly. Instead you
created a second PST file.
There is only one correct way to "restore" a PST file: Open it in Outlook
and set it to be your default.
Why don't you just combine your Contacts into the default PST file, then
close the PST file that is not your default?

Which of the PSTs is not your delivery location PST? RIght-click the root
of that PST and choose Close.

After a lot of searching and thinking, this is what I managed to do. There is
now only one Coacts file and it seems to work fine. Thanks.

I thought I had solved my problem. I only have 1 Contacts folder but when i
add contacts to it they don't appear! I searched for *.pst files and found 3
versions of Outlook, 2 in My Documents (both accessed today) and 1 in Local
Settings. I have obviosly screwed things up when I restored Outlook from my
back up.
