Default My Outlook message web links stopped working?

Received messages with URLs all of a sudden stopped working in Outlook 2003.
Is there a setting either in Outlook or IE 6.0 that controls this behavior?

Hi,
maybe this could be a solution
1. Open the INTERNET EXPLORER | TOOLS | INTERNET OPTIONS | PROGRAM | RESET
WEB SETTINGS
2. Please verify, that under INTERNET PROGRAMS the correct e-mail program is
selected.
3. Click to select the Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is
the default browser check box
4. When the Internet Explorer starts the next time, it will ask you to be
the default browser, please click YES.

Hello; Yes...Thank you. That turned out to be exactly the problem. I'm
using IE6.0 and Firefox and had neither as my default. This is the first
time that has happened. Thank you for the tip. Andrew

I get exactly the same problem. I use Outlook 2003 to . I have checked the
setting in Explorer and in Outook options. I am wondering whether there is a
problem with having Office 2000 components on my system I have Frontpage 2000
and I have no answer for this problem.

It was working originally when i installed the video messaging component but
this now says that outlook is not the default email program.

I am having the same problem with Outlook 2007 but i have Firefox already set
as default. I get an error :
General failure. The URL was:
"http...........". The system cannot find the file specified.

If i right-click copy the link and paste it in the browser it works just fine.

Anyone know how to fix this?

thx
