fonts disappear/reappear
Last night I installed three fonts from a XP-compatable CD. I used them in a
document, and saved that document. When I opened the document the next day, all of the fonts took on an Arial appearance, and I couldn't find the fonts listed under Fonts in Word. I looked under my font folder in Windows and the three were there. (I also found the "Install New Font" option under "File.") I clicked on one of the fonts that I had installed, and returned to my Word document. All the Arial-looking fonts returned to the three formats that I had used the night before. What's going on? I installed the fonts as per the instructions on the CD. This included installing the setup files, then going to Start, Programs, opening my Font program, accessing the list of sample fonts and clicking "install" for each font that I wanted. I have 58.2 GB of free space, Windows XP with service pack 2, Office 2003. 504 MB of RAM. Any help would be appreciated |

If it continues to do this I would suspect possible corrupted user
profile. You may have to create another one. Toody wrote: Last night I installed three fonts from a XP-compatable CD. I used them in a document, and saved that document. Create a new profile.
Start, Help, put in New User Account, press enter, now click on "Create a new user account" and follow the instructions. Toody wrote: Bob1, How do I change the user profile?
