Default 2000 Publisher problems and printing!!

My dauher is gettinf married on the 18th. I created a
beautiful program ...12 pages 4.75H x6.5H wuth a natural
oaoer cover...all this bound together with a a ribbon. My
problem is something called TILING. The booklet printed
out beautifully until I closed the program. When I opened
it this tiling thing appears and now I cannot get the
program to print!

I need to have 200 of them printed by this weekend...can
someone help? How do I convert this back to booklet and
not tiled. I've gone so far as to delete the printer
driver and reinstall it. It worked perfectly until I
colsed the program. I've checked booklet on both printer
and publication. i am desperate!!! What caused it to
shange and how do I fix it I've tried creating new
progets un Wordm Perfect and Works and come up with the
same tiling issue.

Thank you!!

Bonnie,

You remind me of a friend who was asked to do her sister's wedding programs.
they were working on them up until a day or so before the wedding. Tsk,
tsk.

That aside, you didn't say which version of {ublisher you were using. I'm
basing my responses on Pub 2003. This is from the Help file:

If the size of the publication that you are printing is smaller than the
paper you will be printing on, you can adjust the frequency with which the
publication will print on a page.

1.. Create or open a publication that is smaller than the paper size you
want to print on.
2.. On the File menu, click Page Setup.
3.. Click Change Copies Per Sheet.
Note This option is available in the Page Setup dialog box only if the
publication size is smaller than the selected paper size. If you are
printing labels, the option will be Adjust Label Printing.

4.. In the Small Publications Print Options dialog box, click Print
multiple copies per sheet.
5.. Under Spacing, type in the values you want for Side Margin, Top
Margin, Horizontal Gap, and Vertical Gap.
6.. Click OK twice.
7.. On the File menu, click Print.

You should also double check your page set-up as well as your printer set-up
for paper size. Can't help you with WordPerfect or Works - I don't use
either one of those programs.

Thank you, but that option was not available under Page
Setup. The version is 2000...sorry, I should have also
mentioned that in the post rather than just the title.
These program has been set up for 6 months. We met with
the officiate of the ceremony two days ago and the
necessary changes were made at that time. All that was
changed (as fat as I know) was the words to a song. We
switched the unity candle song. I tried to print out one
after that and that's when the tile issue came up. It was
never there before. In fact, I printed out the copy for
the officiate that morning and it worked great.
Thanks for your advise...but I'm sorry to say it still
doesn't work. I've tried making three new programs and it
happens with everything. It is in all programs. Could it
be something with my HP 990cxi printer?

I generally am not this dense...it must be the
stress...lol. I failed to tell you one, possibily
important, issue. When I opened the program to make the
final changes booklet appeared in the middle of the page.
The side and top slide bars were centered exactly on the
page when I was able to view the booklet. I've held down
the shift key and the right mouse button and attempted to
move them into the correct position and it didn't work. I
tried holding the control key and right mouse key and that
didn't work. I've searched for the past two days on how
to's with Publisher 2000, but nothing is working!!! The
print area is way inside the page size...1 inch all
around. The printer is set up for the same paper size as
the booklet. I do appreciate your reply...Thank you.

When you go to print, there is a dialogue on the print page (page options), check to
see if that has changed.
You can turn off tiling. Be sure you have "special fold" selected.
Is the printer the same as the one you originally setup for the program six months
ago? Publisher retains all printer information within its documents. Clear the HP as
your default printer before you open Publisher. Does the publication appear okay?
Go to HP's web site and look around for an updated driver or reinstall the driver
you have.

I feel like such a pain to you...it is the same printer.
Yesterday I deleted the printer driver and updated it from
the HP website. I do have special fold selected, but it's
still doing it. Coule the change in the ruler marks and
location of the document have anything to do with it? It
was always set at zero, but now only shows up at the 5"
mark. I cannot get it to move back to zero. I've tried
the shift and right mouse key, etc. How do I turn off
tiling? I've looked everywhere. Other than the placement
on the screen, the document looks perfect.

Thanks again,
Bonnie
