Default unwanted recipient filter parameters

I use 3 filter parameters for setting recipients for a mailmerge, but MSWord
keeps adding unwanted parameters.

I see this was an issue in earlier versions but thought it would been fixed
in 2007.

Is there something I'm missing or is it one those bugs that just won't die?

Any help welcomed. Keep it simple!

Pete

Default unwanted recipient filter parameters

By way of replying to myself I have found some other threads on the same
subject.

Ludicrously, the advice is that if you are using an Access database, do the
work with a query and merge from that.

On the face of that is sound advice and it does work. Conversely MS have
had years of practice to get Word to mailmerge properly and yet have not
resolved this irritating bug.

If a product includes a feature it should damn well work If it doesn't, take
it out.

Productivity is an MS byword yet much is lost trying to fathom out why
simple errors like this appear.

Come on MS, sort it out!

regards

Peter
