Each level of the TOC is an individual style named TOC1, TOC2, etc.
Define each of them as you wish. However, since all TOC styles are by default set to update automatically,
changes made to TOC entries should be propagated to the styles. -- Suzanne S. Barnhill Microsoft MVP (Word) Words into Type Fairhope, Alabama USA "Peter A" wrote in message om... You soul not format the TOC after it is generated because the formatting you apply will be lost when the TOC is regenerated, Rather, modify the TOC styles (TOC1, TOC2, etc.) to get what you want. -- Peter Aitken Author, MS Word for Medical and Technical Writers www.tech-word.com |
