Creating a newsletter template
Greetings.
I'm attempting to create a newsletter template using Word 98 for the Mac. (And I have posted this message in that newsgroup as well). I'm not attempting anything too sophisticated, but the existing templates within Word don't fit my needs - and I can't determine how to modify them (specifically the sidebar and embedded text blocks), so I believe I have to create something new. I read John McGhie's article on templates, but it's somewhat confusing and relates to a different type of template. Is there a detailed print or online resource on creating templates which would fit my needs? Thanks. |

If your sidebar and text blocks are recurring things, use any drawing objects, text boxes, frames, etc. you like and anchor them to a paragraph in your header or footer. Additionally to John's article (which I found most enlighting when I came upon it for the first time, and still do!)
