Default use form to divide partnership data

I want to do something like the following with a form:

Enter partnership name: ______________ (or use combo
box)

Enter partner #1:_____________________(or combo box)

Partner #1 sha_____________________ (for example 60%)

Enter partner #2:_____________________(or combo box)

Partner #2 sha_____________________(in this case 40%)

Upon entering the share percentage I need to split the partners
inventory from the partnership name and add each partners share to
their individual inventory. Each partner usually has inventory under
their own name along with the partnership name all in the same table.
I can create the entry form but I'm not sure how to bind the controls
and add the share back to original table. Any help getting me started
would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Ron G.
