Default Mail Merge Outlook 2003

Dear Folks,

I've used the mail merge feature in Outlook 2003 several times. I find the
selection process a bit cumbersome.

Rather than selecting records from all my contacts, is it possible, for
instance, to start by selecting all the contacts in a category and using
that as the basis for the mail merge?

thanks

Yes. Just do the merge to "Only Selected Contacts"
There is a radio button to let you select that.

Thanks, I see this now...Is this option only available when you start from
Outlook?

Yes. You cannot filter a merge by category when starting from Word.
